Cadets and staff from across the Wing have completed a total of 2 weeks of camps at RAF Cosford.
The cadets spent their time learning from RAF instructors about avionics, mechanical engineering, number 1 radio school, physical training, RAF police, Technologically enhanced learning lab, weapons systems training and 238 Squadron. They also had the opportunity to marshal in aircraft using the marshalling simulation system.
We visited RAF Shawbury, the National Arboretum, The Midlands Air Ambulance charity and the RAF Museum.
With thanks to the Station Warrant Officer, WO Wosik, who judged our continuity drill, to the Regional Commandant, Group Captain Dave Boreham and Wing Commander Dave Miller who took time to talk to the cadets and camp team.
Thanks also to the Camp Commandants, Flt Lt Lyndon Llewellyn and Flt Lt Nigel Rowland. Other staff included Flt Lt Gemma Peerman, Flt Lt Liz Blake, Pilot Officers Sally Stone and Caitlin Smith, Warrant Officers James Tye, Tim Barker and Brian Goodall, Sergeants Jean Donoghue, Gary Halstead, Marko Tyrrell-Thompson. Not forgetting our Wing Padre, Reverend Alan Jesson.
